Lookie here.
.
A basket case with a tag and title in the seller's name.
What's the chance, about 5 % ?
I bought two off these a few months ago.
I was told it had a noise in the engine and that it might be an exhaust leak.
I got it running but didn't like what I heard, and shut it off.
After tearing it down , I found # 1 rod bearing had spun in the rod, and 2&3 were about to seize.
The rod(s) may need re-sizing and the crank may need turning (std bearings now) I just don't know.
The machine shop I had used, is now closed.
I don't have the tools to check it myself.
I decided to sell the bike as is.
Let's review:
Tag and title in my name.
It appears to be a Special but there are some subtle differences in my other bike.
It's titled as an F model.
Head, cams, pistons (oversize) , all appear usable.
Carbs are okay as I did have it running.
Transmission, clutch , chains are all in good shape.
Factory mags and tires, usable
Year old AGM battery
Gauges are nice
Aftermarket 3 into 1 header
Chrome fenders are 10 footers (maybe 20 )
Aftermarket seat .
.
Not my cup of tea but in good shape
Any other questions.
.
send me your number, and I will answer all, honestly
These bikes are fun cruisers.
I'm impressed with my other one.
They have a unique and mean sounding exhaust note at about 9 grand ;-)
Thanks for reading,
