39 Grade: 13 Closing Date: March 3, 2024 Job Summary: The DES, Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative 1 with the Prescott Valley Office.
This position is responsible for performing entry level customer service support for a DES Multi Service Center.
Job Duties: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Respond to requests for general information by answering and transferring all incoming phone calls.
- Identify customer needs by researching, compiling information, analyzing policies and procedures.
- Provide community resource literature and contact information, notarize documents and applications.
- Collect and process all incoming and outgoing mail.
- Data entry and imaging.
- Greet, direct, and escort customers to the appropriate division or phone.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): Knowledge in: - Computer skills; typing and data entry - Google Workspace or Microsoft Office applications - Customer services techniques - Experience with information resources and databases, electronic records/records management - Administrative and clerical procedures Skills in: - Interviewing, eliciting and gathering information - Active listening, verbal and written communication - Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to federal, state, department and division policy and procedures - Researching available community resources and materials - Problem resolution techniques Ability to: - Interact in a sensitive and respectful manner during public contact and interactions with colleagues.
- Handle high volume calls, operate network/personal computer, fax, copier, telephone systems, and multi-tasks - Speak and talk to others to convey information.
- Utilize a variety of office equipment - Navigate multiple computer systems/programs - Use good judgment in handling complex situations Selective Preference(s): The ideal candidate for this position will have: - High School Graduate or equivalent Pre-Employment Requirements: - If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business, then the following requirements apply Driver’s License Requirements.
Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks.
The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended.
Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training.
An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.
