Responsibilities:
Performs systematic checks and inspections of plant equipment and assists in the established preventive maintenance program in order to prevent malfunctions, breakdowns, and general depreciation.
Notifies the Method Coordinator about potential failures or out-of-standard operating conditions.
Troubleshoot and corrective DC maintenance: if there is dust reported in an area, we get a call to find and correct the problem.
Corrective maintenance includes changing bags, unplugging lines, balancing lines, cleaning out hoppers, etc.
Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual inspections: these are maintenance routines that are documented and reported to the environmental department and the government.
Perform inspection on kiln Bull Gear, Tyre, Ball Mill Bull Gear, and Hydrocool.
Work as back-up Lubrication Technician.
Mechanical work: Weld patches and repair dust collector pipes, replace and align fan bearings and belts, and clean fan runners.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
A high school diploma or GED is required.
Plant 95% of time Extreme heat, cold, noise, vibrations.
Office 5% of time behind a computer.
