We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Medical Provider at our Prescott, AZ location.
*Job Duties will include:*
· MD/DO/Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Certified job functions may include:
· Act as medical liaison with Medical Director and work with other treatment staff regarding medication management and patient medical reviews and implement care according to accepted guidelines;
· Conduct intake medical assessment, H&P's, psychological evaluations and make appropriate recommendations for follow-up;
· Conduct patient medication dose evaluations and change medication levels, as indicated;
· Facilitates referrals to outside medical providers for patient needed follow-up;
· Evaluates patients with urgent or emergent medical needs and determines if further medical assistance is necessary;
· Order and review laboratory tests as necessary for quality of care;
· Present and facilitate group therapy sessions for clients about medically related topics.
· Other duties as assigned.
*Qualification Requirements*:
- Must possess an active unrestricted license in the state of AZ.
- Must possess a DEA certificate and DATA 2000 X Waiver to prescribe buprenorphine.
- ARNP must have a dual certification in family medicine and psych.
- At least 5 years’ experience in similar position in hospital, inpatient behavioral health, psychiatric facility, Substance Abuse Treatment preferred and at least 3 years supervisory experience.
- Must possess excellent critical thinking and leadership skills.
Able to work in a fast- paced environment and multitask.
- Must demonstrate previous experience related to Joint Commission & CARF behavioral health standards and processes for ongoing compliance and survey readiness.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated budget and management skills.
*Knowledge Requirements*
· Must have knowledge of the substance abuse patient population.
· Must have knowledge of federal and state regulations governing the prescribing of appropriate care specific medications and of regulations pertaining to health care of patients in treatment for drug abuse.
· Ability to prioritize workload, skilled in organizing detailed work assignments and follow through on assigned tasks to assure completion in a timely manner.
· EMR Literate.
· Must be able to pass a urinalysis and criminal background check
