Responsible for overseeing all of the administrative, operations and business aspects of Polara Health Billing Department.
Includes managing the employee-employer relationship, staff supervision including completing performance evaluations, and coordination and collaboration of outpatient services with other members of leadership.
Position also includes ensuring compliance with regulations and managing the budget and maintenance of the facility.
The Billing Manager will also perform many leadership, organization and decision-making tasks to maintain and grow the facility they work from.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Serves as the agency Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all items related billing Provides training to all Billing Team Members at all locations Works with other Department Managers and staff to assure coordination with all other Polara Health departments Performs other duties as assigned Monitors and positively affects employee morale Creates a work environment that emphasizes collective team performance and demonstrate Polara Health’s core competencies Provides direct support regarding all aspects surrounding billing Ensures staff compliance with policies and procedures through utilization of training resources and disciplinary procedures Build and maintain a strong network of external relationships with referral sources Maintain active community involvement; serve as a representative assigned community groups as needed Ensures legal obligations are met at all times, complies with federal and state law, accrediting and licensing agencies at all times, to include but not limited to Joint Commission and federal compliance regulations Proactively evaluate and improve client and staff experience Lead team meetings relevant to Subject Matter Expert Close collaboration with SME Managers and Clinical Site Supervisors Ability to identify, implement, evaluate, and sustain rapid change management Works with RCM Director to review updates, maintain and where helpful innovate existing policies, procedures, and workflows to support population health and staff success Ensure and role models the delivery of excellent customer service Integrates department services with the organization’s primary functions and coordinates with other department/services in a manner which fosters a collaborative environment for teamwork within the facility and with other department/services Communicates the organization’s vision and values to be carried out in day to day activities Ensures smooth operation across all Polara sites and that staff have the resources they need to do their job effectively and efficiently Uses data to support ethical and effective decisions REQUIRED SKILLS Must have excellent supervisory skills, and exceptional soft skills, such as relationship-building, communications, active listening, negotiation and diplomacy Must have strong interpersonal communication, problem solving, and teambuilding skills Must be detail oriented, have excellent organizational skills and be flexible Ability to conceptualize from a systems perspective Actively participates in performance management and coaching Demonstrates respect for consumer confidentiality practices Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines Show appreciation for and ability to respond to cultural differences, and adjust communication practices accordingly in order to minimize cross-cultural misunderstandings Responsible for complying with Polara Health’s Corporate Compliance Program as it applies to individual job duties, the facility, and the company Must comply with all Polara Health policies and procedures Exercise due diligence to prevent, detect, and report unlawful and/or unethical conduct by fellow co-workers, professional affiliates and/or agents Displays a positive work ethic SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, public health, health information management, business, or related field of study preferred.
Four years related experience including but not limited to Office Manager, Medical Biller, Financial Manager, or another administrative/operations role within the health care sector.
