Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)

Duties: - Perform therapeutic massage techniques to address clients' specific needs and preferences.
- Assess clients' conditions and create customized treatment plans.
- Provide acute pain management and relief through various massage techniques.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to target specific muscle groups and alleviate tension.
- Offer exceptional patient service by ensuring a comfortable and relaxing environment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support occupational health goals.
- Employ pain management strategies such as trigger point therapy and deep tissue massage.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client assessments, treatments, and progress.
- Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology related to massage therapy.
Skills: - Acute pain management: Ability to effectively alleviate acute pain through targeted massage techniques.
- Anatomy knowledge: Understanding of the structure and function of the human body, particularly the musculoskeletal system.
- Physiology knowledge: Familiarity with the physiological processes that occur in the body, including how they relate to massage therapy.
- Patient service: Strong customer service skills with a focus on providing a positive experience for clients.
- Occupational health: Knowledge of occupational health principles and practices, including ergonomics and injury prevention.
- Pain management: Proficiency in using various techniques to manage and reduce pain in clients.
- Trigger point therapy: Skill in identifying and treating trigger points, which are hyperirritable spots in muscle tissue associated with pain or discomfort.
- Medical terminology: Understanding of medical terms commonly used in the field of massage therapy.
- Patient assessment: Ability to assess clients' conditions, identify areas of concern, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Deep tissue massage: Proficiency in applying firm pressure to release tension in deeper layers of muscle tissue.
