*Mining quarry company is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Area Manager to oversee our operations in the Prescott area.
* Leveraging their experience managing multiple sites and teams: *Site Leadership and Production Management* * Manages multiple company sites, ensuring their safe, efficient, and profitable operation.
* Oversees daily production activities across assigned sites, optimizing blasting (if applicable), excavation, and processing of landscape rock to meet quotas.
* Develops and implements best practices for production processes to achieve maximum efficiency and quality control.
* Monitors and analyzes production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
*Team Leadership and Development* * Provides strong leadership and mentorship to a team of 8-20 direct reports, fostering a positive and high-performing work environment.
* Empowers and delegates tasks effectively, motivating employees to achieve individual and team goals.
* Conducts performance evaluations, offering constructive feedback and coaching for continuous improvement.
* Identifies training needs and implements programs to develop the skills and knowledge of the team.
*Problem-Solving and Continuous Improvement* * Proactively identifies and resolves production issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth operations.
* Implements processes and procedures to prevent recurring problems and achieve long-term operational success.
* Analyzes data to identify trends and potential issues, taking preventative measures to avoid disruptions.
* Continuously seeks improvements in safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of company operations.
*Communication and Collaboration* * Communicates effectively with superiors, subordinates, and clients regarding production goals, safety procedures, and any operational issues.
* Collaborates with other departments like sales and logistics to ensure production aligns with customer needs and delivery schedules.
* Maintains positive working relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring their satisfaction.
*Reporting and Documentation* * Oversees the maintenance of accurate and complete production records for all assigned sites.
* Prepares regular reports on production volumes, quality control, safety incidents, and other relevant data.
* Presents reports to superiors and stakeholders, effectively communicating performance metrics and operational insights.
*Additional Responsibilities* * May participate in budgeting and resource allocation for assigned sites.
* Stays up to date on industry best practices, regulations, and safety standards for company operations.
* Identifies opportunities for innovation and cost-saving measures to improve the overall profitability of the operation.
*By effectively managing these essential functions, an Area Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and profitable operation of multiple landscape rock quarries.
