The IT Project Engineer is primarily responsible for Onboarding new MSP clients and assisting with other technical project deployments like VoIP Deployments, SharePoint migrations, PC Deployments, Network deployments, etc.
This person should have a good understanding of networking, VoIP technologies, and Microsoft Cloud and Sever technologies.
It will be necessary to learn and understand client workflows and systems quickly.
A passion for communication, organization and delivering projects on time, in an efficient manner, with little interruption to the end user will be vital.
Position Responsibilities: Executing all Onboarding tasks for new clients.
The most task is gathering information about the IT systems of each client and documenting it so we can provide support.
Other onboarding tasks will include deploying monitoring agents and security services to endpoints, deploying firewalls, switches, and access points, setting up content filtering, spam filtering, migrating domain and DNS control, M365 MFA setup, and creating all documentation for the new client.
Deploying VoIP Systems including number porting, building call trees, programming, and deploying phones, matching existing setups, programming and deploying communications interface hardware such as ATAs and paging systems, working with alarm vendors, and training clients on the Executech VoIP solution.
Assisting with various tasks on all the projects taken on by the Executech Professional Services department.
Assisting in scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned projects.
Assisting as a floater in other areas of the business as needed.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities: Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction.
Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project team members.
Escalate service or project issues that cannot be completed within agreed service levels.
Build specific knowledge of the customer and how IT relates to their business strategy and goals.
Build specific knowledge of IT Project tools and contribute to effective use of said tools.
Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities.
Entering time and expenses in ticketing system daily.
Work through a daily schedule in ticketing system that has been established through the dispatch process.
Work through project tickets and phases in ticketing system as assigned by a Project Manager Track all work as service or project tickets into ticketing system Review IT publications and online materials to remain up-to-date with current and future technologies emerging in the industry Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Qualifications: 4+ Years in the IT profession 2+ Years’ experience working for an MSP (Managed Service Provider) 2+ Years’ experience working with VoIP systems.
Interpersonal skills including telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care Ability to communicate complex projects in a simple manner.
Ability to change focus quickly and adapt to rapid changes.
Ability to work remotely.
Technical awareness: Ability to match researched resources to technical issues appropriately.
Organizational Service awareness: Develop understanding of organization’s key IT services for which support is being provided.
Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services.
Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details.
