CADUCEUS CELLARS – MERKIN VINEYARDS – FOUR EIGHT WINEWORKS CULINARY DIRECTOR – VERDE VALLEY, ARIZONA Under the umbrella of Arizona’s most recognized and awarded wine portfolios comes our need to further develop and grow our various culinary programs.
We are currently seeking to team with an accomplished and highly energized Culinary Director who can assist us in reaching our goals and maximizing our opportunities and potential.

com We currently own and operate several culinary programs in our restaurants and tasting rooms that support our core mission of producing, educating, and sharing the rewards of highly crafted, fine, Arizona wines.
Additionally, we are currently building new food and beverage operations both in the near and mid-term.
Job Description: Oversee, direct, and manage all aspects of our multiple existing programs along with developing and launching our new programs, and do so in a hands-on manner and with a positive sense of professional energy.
The Culinary Director is responsible directly or indirectly facilitating and supervising onsite kitchens, food related, daily operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, clean, and organized workplace.
The Culinary Director will conduct business in a manner consistent with and compliant with the company’s standard operating practices and all applicable rules, laws, and regulations.
Compensation and Benefits: The following statements related to compensation and benefits are subject to (a) the Company’s policies, (b) the applicants experience and (c) Salary: Annual salary at or above market rates, subject to the applicant’s experience Bonus: Quarterly Bonus based on seven primary key performance indicators.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Experience: 5 plus years of practical, verifiable experience in the food and beverage industry sufficient to assume the applicant can and will be able to meet or exceed the job requirements as posted.
Culinary Training: A degree from a recognized Culinary Institution is preferable.
Language Ability: Review and comprehend all written documents such as safety rules, operating manuals, maintenance instructions.
Write routine reports and communications.
Mathematical Ability: Possess fundamental math skills that allow for accurately managing inventory controls and operational measurements as well as all other fundamental math related tasks.
Computer Skills: Ability to effectively utilize Word (type) applications, Excel (type) applications, email systems and the applicable POS system used in daily operations.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
