*REPORTS TO: *Clinical Director / Executive Director *FLSA DESIGNATION: *Full-time, Non-exempt *JOB SUMMARY:* Under the general direction of the agency’s Clinical Director, the BHT is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of the Clinical Director.
The BHT also maintains a safe and efficient working and treatment environment per company policies, procedures, and best practices; communicates effectively with the treatment team to ensure safe, quality care is provided to all patients.
The BHT portion of the job will be when taking the clientele to therapy and in the clinical facility.
The House Supervisor is a person who understands recovery, sets an example, holds the clients accountable, and empowers clients to identify and achieve their goals.
The House Supervisor is a full-time, live-in professional with the responsibility of managing and coordinating the Recovery Residence.
This position works directly with women in early recovery, providing structure and support to women seeking to establish stable long-term recovery from a substance use disorder.
The Supervisor acts as a safety observer for both the clients and the house.
This is a highly responsible position overseeing the maintenance of the house, providing transportation for residents and assisting residents in a supportive manner to follow house rules.
This position requires a detail-oriented individual with leadership skills and a passion for helping others recover from a substance use disorder.
The House Supervisor oversees daily operations of the Recovery Residence.
This includes managing and coordinating daily housekeeping tasks, leading weekly “House Meetings,” conducting inspections, client intakes, marketing and making arrangements for random drug testing.
This position is also involved in supporting residents to develop recovery plans and teaching residents’ skills needed to live in recovery.

We will be working with the House Supervisor to find and train an assistant House Supervisor to help and oversee these duties.
*ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*: 1.
Complete initial intake; biopsychosocial assessment, screening tools, consents, and subsequent documents under admission guidelines.
2.
Provides direct support services to include engaging patients in Group Lecture, topics related to 12-step recovery, health and wellness promotion, and crisis management.
3.
Psychoeducational groups/lectures with patients to evaluate the nature of their presenting problems in order to determine their needs and develop appropriate treatment plan goals.
4.
Documents patient’s participation and progress in progress notes.
5.
Prepares progress notes, event notifications and other documentation regarding patients in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
6.
Facilitates coordination of care to include case review, therapeutic interventions, and patient progress in treatment.
7.
Completes other tasks as assigned.
*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* * Maintains an atmosphere of recovery with all clients.
* Coordinate driving, drive residents to and from the house to Therapy and Meetings.
* Supervise client conduct, behavior and adherence to Steps to Recovery Homes policies, requirements and house rules.
* Handle all issues in a supportive and professional manner.
* Administer random client UA’s and Breathalyzers.
* Performs intakes, works on keeping house full and building relationships in the community.
* The position requires that the Manager will check the house for client safety and report any potential health or safety issues to staff immediately.
* Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Staff must perform bed checks on clients without waking them and report irregularities and missing clients appropriately and expediently per policy and procedure.
* Ensure integrity of the sober living program to include ‘contract’ and phase compliance.
Being aware of the treatment status of ALL residents in their charge.
* Maintains healthy public relations.
* Encourages and promotes teamwork and accountability among clients.
* Cleanliness of vehicles needs to be maintained.
* Other duties as assigned.

*EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE* An associate degree (18 credit hours specific to BH), and two years full time in the BH field, or o A high school diploma, and four years full time in the field, or o A high school equivalency diploma, and four years full time in the field, or o A College Degree and 1 years full time in the field, or o A Master’s degree and 1 year full time in the field.
*QUALIFICATIONS* * *Obtains and Maintains current certifications for this position*: Must obtain Treatment Manager’s Certification from Yavapai College which includes training on the disease model of addiction, first aid, CPR, infectious disease prevention and control, crisis prevention and intervention, assistance in self-administration of medication, and establishment and maintenance of client discharge plans.
* Must have a least 1 year clean and sober and continue to be abstinent of alcohol and other mind or mood altering substance * Knowledge and understanding the 12 step fellowships.

* *Maintains own driving information:* * Must have valid driver's license and insurable driving record * Must be aware of all operations and basic safety/preventive issues of a vehicle to assure client safety.
*KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND ATTITUDES REQUIRED* 1.
Knowledge of software programs for personal computer use, especially word processing, email, and spreadsheets.

Knowledge and experience in 12 step program and with substance abuse patients.
3.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to carry out assigned projects to their completion.
4.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships, gaining cooperation and resolving conflicts.
5.
Ability to plan and organize case workload, manage deadlines of him/herself.
6.
Ability to maintain and demonstrate ethical professional standards and demeanor, including the confidentiality of employee and patient data, patient boundaries, and other sensitive information.
7.
Demonstrated competence with, and continued commitment to respect for cultural differences and diversity, protecting patient rights.
8.
Recognition of the limits of one’s own professional expertise and the willingness to seek supervision and/or support, as needed.
9.
Makes clinical and organizational decisions with the patients’ and agency well-being and best interests in mind.
10.
Provide treatment that promotes patient dignity, independence, individuality, strength, privacy and choice, recognizing the unique needs of the patient population served by the agency.
11.
Provide the behavioral health services that the agency is authorized to provide and that the staff member is qualified to provide.
12.
Recognize obvious symptoms of a mental disorder, personality disorder, or substance abuse.
13.
Identify types of medications commonly prescribed for mental disorders, personality disorders and substance abuse, and the common side effects and adverse reactions to medications.
14.
Recognize, prevent and respond to a situation in which the patient may be a danger to himself or others, behaves in an aggressive or destructive manner, is experiencing a crisis situation or medical emergency.
15.
Recognize and respond to fire, disaster, hazard, and medical emergency: and 16.
