The Opportunity:
The facilities department at the Prescott Campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is looking for a Materials Management Worker to handle the following job duties:
Assist in receiving incoming materials, verifying quantities and quality against packing slips or purchase orders.
Label, sort, and organize received materials for storage or distribution within the college campus.
Assist in preparing outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, and labeling items according to shipping guidelines.
Operate material handling equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shipping and receiving area.
Collaborate with campus departments to fulfill orders and meet delivery deadlines.
Perform inventory counts and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
Communicate effectively with suppliers and campus departments to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations while handling materials and operating equipment.
Support sustainability initiatives by participating in recycling and waste reduction efforts within the shipping and receiving area.
Assist in office moves by relocating furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed to support departmental relocations or renovations.
This is a temporary position with a projected end date of August 15, 2024.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or materials management preferred.
Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and documentation.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
