POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists in the administration and supervision of the school program providing a safe and effective learning environment for the students and staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Principal in carrying out policies, regulations and requirements of the Governing Board, the Superintendent and/or his/her designee.
Provides leadership that will result in an academically challenging, orderly, positive learning environment.
Establishes and maintains procedures for the resolution of conflict in an effort to maintain a high level of staff morale.
Assists to define and disseminate information about school disciplinary policies and procedures to parents, students, staff and community.
Talks with and disciplines students in cases of attendance and behavior problems.
Assists in the screening, selection, and performance evaluation of certificated and classified personnel.
Maintains a commitment to ongoing growth in self and others, supporting and participating in District and site professional growth programs.
Assists the school community and the public in their awareness of the site goals and objectives and the strategies for achieving them.
Assists in the completion of records and reports and in the supervision and inventory of necessary supplies, textbooks, equipment and materials.
QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Must have or be able to obtain a valid Arizona Principal Certificate.
Must have knowledge and or experience with professional learning communities.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Masters degree or higher from an accredited college or university in educational administration, instructional technology or a closely related field.
Three (3) years of successful teaching experience, administrative experience preferred.
Salary will be determined by degree and experience.
