The Sharlot Hall Museum is an open-air museum and heritage site located in Prescott, Arizona.
Opened in 1928 by Sharlot M.
Hall as the Gubernatorial Mansion Museum, the museum that now bears her name is dedicated to preserving the history and culture of the Central Highlands of Arizona.
The Museum features eleven exhibit buildings (six of which are historic), compelling exhibits, and beautiful gardens, which serve as the setting for numerous public festivals and events.

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for developing, implementing, managing, and evaluating educational aspects of visitor engagement including events, programs, and educational offerings.
Job Duties:
• Oversee the development of special programs (Frontier Christmas, Living History, Day in the Life, Lecture Series)
• Manage the museum's Tours program (school, youth groups, service organizations, family groups, and special internet groups)
• Collaborate with the Collections group to develop exhibit educational elements (interactive and hands-on) and develop related training materials for volunteers
• Oversee volunteer program, including recruitment, training & orientation, staffing, and management
• Represent the museum and deliver presentations in a variety of settings from local community groups to museum organizations
• Managing & supporting educational staff and interns
• Prepare the education department's budget and monitor expenses.
Identify funding sources and help prepare grant applications
• Research, write, and edit a variety of materials (educational handouts, media scripts, promotional materials, etc.
)
