JOB Faculty, Choral MusicHiring Range: $46,729 - $65,814This is a 9 month faculty positionReporting to the Associate Dean of Performing Arts, the successful candidate will lead and expand the vision for the college's choral music program, conduct various chorales and vocal ensembles, recruit and mentor adjunct faculty, recruit in local high schools, host regional music events and workshops, coordinate choral department activities, and teach assigned music and musical theater classes and individual voice lessons as needed.
Responsibilities include course preparation and instruction, student learning outcomes assessment, curriculum development, participation in the college community, continued professional growth activities, and creative program building in collaboration with other faculty and staff based on identified needs.
Flexibility and problem-solving skills required.
Teaching assignments may be multi-campus, require a variety of delivery methods, and include day, evening, weekend, individualized, arranged, and/or online formats.
Delivering quality instruction to students is our highest priority.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES - Master's Degree in Music with an emphasis in choral conducting from a regionally accredited college or university- Demonstrated successful college conducting and teaching experience of five years- Demonstrated ability to develop a vibrant and innovative choral music program- Demonstrated ability to develop music curriculum, scheduling, recruitment, budgeting, music and equipment purchasing, public relations, and concert production- Demonstrated success in recruiting, organizing, developing, and conducting various choral and vocal ensembles that have performed successfully and draw college and community audiences SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
