This antique diamond and opal brooch is from the Victorian Era, 1873 to 1910.
The brooch features 6 high quality diamonds of approximately 60 points, and 7 large opals of approximately 5.

The pear cut opals measure 9 mm in length, 6 mm wide.
The round center opal measures 5 mm.
These opals are called "crystal opals," having no visible matrix attached, hence "crystal.
" Their colors flash between transparent layers.
The gold has a jeweler antiqued finish.
The gold on the front has some texture and is smoother on the back.
