Rare Antique 1905 Wicker & Wood Chair - Heywood Brothers & Wakefield - $60 (prescott)

Amazing this rare early Wakefield Brothers piece has survived considering it is over 100 years old.
That being said, I will state that someone many years ago spray painted it gold (!) It is a magnificent piece of decor and a furniture collector's piece.

but I would not advise using it as a chair.
It stands alone as a beautiful piece of decor or perhaps a potted plant on it in a prominent corner of your room? Wonderful arching barrel shape with underside of upper back rest adorned with wooden balls, all of which are present.
Similar chair types can be found in the 1905 Wakefield catalogue.
Amazingly, an original paper sticker on bottom allows one to correctly identify and date this piece as prior to the name change to "Heywood Wakefield".
