Vintage Mid-Century Theater Spotlight (Strong Trouperette) - $300 (Cottonwood)

I’m selling a vintage (working!) Trouperette theater spotlight, made by the renowned Strong Electric Co.
I haven’t been able to pin down what year it was manufactured, but the cool retro styling seems like maybe the 1950s to me.
I bought it directly from ASU and believe it was used for decades in productions put on at ASU.
The brand and model logos are amazingly still intact and really make this piece stand out.
[Edit: I’m editing to add this pic of a brochure from 1954 that I found online that seems to confirm it’s a 1950s/mid century era light] It includes the various color filters built in that the levers on the top control.
You can also control the aperture, brightness, diffuse the light, and some other controls I haven’t fully figured out.
It’s missing one knob on the top but I was thinking of moving the knob on the front to replace it since that one’s rarely used and not as prominent.
Also, the small square sheet metal cover that sits over the bulb is missing.
I think it was usually left off to allow heat to disperse and probably wandered away at some point.
The rolling stand is original to the light and you can remove the main light body from the stand easily by spinning the one knob on the side.
It makes it a lot easier to transport and it should fit easily in a normal car.
I haven’t done anything to it since it has so much charm just as it is.
It’s got a beautiful color and patina that shows it was well used and it probably illuminated generations of Arizona performers! Keep it as is or repurpose it into an amazing custom light fixture.
Heck, you could also put it right back to work in a theater or music venue.
